Open Access Policy

The International Journal of Computer Engineering and Embedded Technologies is a fully open access journal. This policy has been established in accordance with the standards expected by international abstracting and indexing bodies, including Scopus and Web of Science, as well as recognized open access frameworks such as the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

Definition of Open Access

Open access means that all content published in the journal is made freely available to readers immediately upon publication, without subscription, registration, or payment barriers of any kind. Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of every article, and to use the articles for any lawful purpose, subject to proper attribution to the original authors and source.

No Cost to Readers

The journal does not charge readers, libraries, or institutions any fee for access to published content. All articles, from the current issue as well as the complete archive, are permanently and freely accessible on the journal's website without login credentials or institutional subscription.

Licensing

All articles published in the journal are distributed under a Creative Commons license, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that the original author and source are properly credited. Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal the right of first publication. The specific license terms are displayed on each published article and apply uniformly across the journal.

Author Rights

Authors retain full copyright ownership of their published work. Authors are permitted, and encouraged, to deposit their published article in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or personal or academic websites, and to share it freely, provided that the original place of publication is properly cited.

Article Processing and Publication Charges

Where applicable, any article processing charges are used solely to support the costs of peer review management, editorial processing, copyediting, typesetting, digital archiving, and permanent open online hosting. Details of any such charges, along with any applicable waiver policy, are disclosed transparently on the journal's website and are entirely separate from, and have no influence on, editorial and peer review decisions.

Digital Preservation and Permanent Access

The journal is committed to the long-term preservation and continued accessibility of its published content, ensuring that articles remain permanently available even in the event of the journal ceasing publication in the future. This is achieved through participation in recognized digital archiving initiatives and adherence to accepted standards for the permanent retention of the scholarly record.

Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are permitted to archive the submitted version, the accepted (peer-reviewed) version, and the final published version of their article in any repository or on any personal or institutional website, at any time, without embargo, since all content is open access from the point of publication.

Compliance with Funder and Institutional Mandates

The journal's open access model is designed to satisfy the public and open access requirements of research funding agencies, universities, and institutions that mandate open dissemination of publicly funded research. Authors funded by such agencies can publish in the journal in full compliance with their funder's open access mandate.

Commitment to Open Scholarship

The journal believes that unrestricted, free, and immediate access to research accelerates scientific progress, enriches education, and promotes the equitable global exchange of knowledge. The journal remains committed to sustaining this open access model as a core part of its editorial identity and its alignment with international scholarly publishing standards.
