Archiving and Digital Preservation Policy

International Journal of Creative Engineering and Emerging Technologies is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of its published scholarly content. Digital archiving and preservation are integral to maintaining the scholarly record and supporting sustained access to research outputs.

1. Commitment to Long-Term Preservation

The journal adopts recognized digital preservation practices to safeguard published articles against data loss, technological obsolescence, and unforeseen disruptions. All published content is preserved to ensure continued accessibility for researchers, institutions, and the academic community.

2. Digital Archiving System

The journal utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) for digital archiving and long-term preservation. This service provides a distributed preservation infrastructure designed specifically for journals using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

Through this system, journal content is securely preserved across multiple independent locations, ensuring redundancy and resilience.

3. Scope of Archived Content

The following materials are included in the archiving and preservation process:

  • Published articles and associated metadata

  • Supplementary files submitted as part of the scholarly record

  • Issue-level content and journal metadata

Archived materials remain unchanged to preserve the integrity and authenticity of the published record.

4. Access to Archived Content

Archived content remains openly accessible through the journal’s website. In the event of temporary unavailability of the journal website, preserved content can be restored through the preservation network to ensure continuity of access.

5. Integrity and Authenticity

The journal ensures that preserved content accurately reflects the originally published version. Any post-publication changes, such as corrections or retractions, are clearly documented to maintain transparency and trust in the scholarly record.

6. Responsibility and Oversight

The editorial office is responsible for maintaining archiving configurations within the journal management system and for ensuring continued participation in digital preservation services. Archiving practices are reviewed periodically to align with evolving standards in digital preservation.

Statement of Commitment

International Journal of Creative Engineering and Emerging Technologies affirms its commitment to the permanent preservation of scholarly content and to supporting reliable, long-term access to published research through established digital archiving systems.
